Bilateral Duplex Kidneys/systems.?

I was diagnosed with Bilateral duplex systems a while ago. I was just wondering if it can get worse than it is? Can it affect me in any way? (i know that i easily get bladder infections and stuff like that.) Does it run in the family? When i am older will it affect me having kids? Thanks ;)
