I want to quit my job and go back to college. I got into trucking 15yrs ago after dropping out of college.?

I'm 38 with a wife and son. While young, and stupid, I picked up 2 felonies so I had limited chooses in employment. 15yrs later I feel trapped in this dead end job. I've done some real estate investing, sales, mortgage broker, etc., but nothing consistently paid the bills. I feel with a degree I'll be able to capitalize on my real world experience and stop slaving in a truck. But how do I quit a job and still support a family?
